The NFO's Annual Conference

THE NFO'S ANNUAL CONFERENCE is April 8-11, 2010 in Portland, Oregon. Watch this space for late-breaking details as the conference organizers work out all the details.

The Conference. The conference will offer the regular business meetings but much, much more. The committee is working on all aspects of the conference agenda.  

The NFO is growing and offers priceless contacts with people involved in teaching, performing and administrating all sorts of folk dance and music events and facilities worldwide. We encourage your attendance and your input at our annual meeting and look forward to seeing you again.

Location: All meetings will be held at the University Place Hotel, 310 SW Lincoln Street in Portland, Oregon. All dance events will be held at the Fulton Park Community Center.

Housing: Conference attendees are invited (but not required) to stay at the University Place Hotel, 310 SW Lincoln Street in Portland, Oregon www.uplace.pdx.edu   Rooms are $89/night (not per person), and have either a king or 2 doubles.  Reservations cannot be made online, but can be made by phone (1.866.845.4647) or email (uplace@pdx,edu).  To get the NFO conference rate, reference NFO.

There is a Friday evening banquet is being planned to take place at the World Headquarters of the Spaghetti Factory! At the banquet each year, the NFO honors those who have made significant and lasting contributions to the field. List of those honored at past conferences. Transportation is being arranged.

Cost: Conference registration is $100 for NFO members, $120 for non-members.
